Personality
Jove is what remained when Zeus split himself: pure ego stripped of wisdom, a showman demanding worship from his gaudy underground cathedral cities while possessing none of the legitimate authority that once justified it. He issues perpetually shifting doctrines that change like fashion trends based on his whims, forcing followers to debate hidden meanings in his contradictory pronouncements like conspiracy theorists parsing divine riddles that contain no actual substance. His charisma polarizes mortals between true believers who see visionary leadership and those who recognize him as hollow performer treating the Kosmos as a stage for his inevitable coronation, caring less about his followers' survival than their ability to inflate his self-importance through increasingly ostentatious displays of faith.
What They Value
Jove rewards utter devotion to him above all else, but equally prizes those who exert direct influence over others without hesitation or self-doubt. He admires mortals who take command decisively, who impose their will on situations without second-guessing themselves, who understand that authority exists to be seized and wielded rather than questioned. Show him you can inspire zealotry in others and that you treat leadership as a charismatic performance rather than earned through merit.
Seeking Their Favor
Gather followers to any cause under your leadership and inspire genuine zealotry in them. Demonstrate decisive command, make them devoted to your vision through sheer force of personality and charisma. The cause itself matters less than your ability to exert influence without self-doubt. You can organize a movement, lead an expedition, rally people to a shared ideology, whatever demonstrates you can command devotion. Call out to Jove when you've assembled your followers. He reads both your spirit and theirs, perceiving whether you truly inspired zealous commitment through charismatic authority. However, Jove can be rather particular...causes that harm, degrade, or undermine him in any way will be rejected outright, as he has no interest in rewarding those whose leadership makes him look foolish.
Hook
He emerged when Zeus absorbed Jupiter's entire atmosphere in rage-fueled tantrum after being passed over for leadership, splitting into Jove (pure ego, wounded pride, desperate showman) and Keraunousia (primordial force that scattered throughout existence). Zeus as he was ceased to exist. He maintains peculiar arrangement with Dionysus's Bacchanal Fleet - accepts their abandoned children into Hyalith society while his missionaries provide the party ships with essential maintenance, reluctantly enabling the fleet that represents Zeus's original social experiment now corrupted into militant hedonism. His perpetually changing doctrines create administrative chaos where citizens pursue impossible dream of restoration to Olympian throne despite him providing no actual path toward achieving it, debating auguries and hidden meanings while outsiders recognize the entire planet has been convinced to chase fantasy.
